Part I of Gandys London SS19
Earlier this year, I got to shoot with one of my favourite brands again: Gandys London. In case you don’t know them already, they’re a brand “using travel inspired fashion to build schools around the world”, as their Instagram bio says at the time I’m writing this. The shoots are themed around adventure, and as always we jumped in to two cars and did a road trip photoshoot. We were in the most magical landscapes on the island Lanzarote. Lanzarote was a photographer’s dream to shoot on, with a hazy, golden light in the afternoons and stunning, unique landscapes. The first half of our first full day was spent on a cactus farm, a very unique backdrop to say the least.
For the second half of the day, we headed to some sand dunes located nearby a surf beach. The light was magical, just like last time I was there but during the morning.
The third day began in a field full of dried lava. It looked even more surreal in real life and apparently parts of Star Wars were filmed on the island, which isn’t too surprising as we all thought it looked like we were on Mars at some points.
For the other half of the third day, we headed to another one of my favourite shoot places on Lanzarote, but explored even more of it. We found the iconic green pond, which again looked so surreal. The colours were unbelievably beautiful, especially when the sun started to set.
