One afternoon about a year ago, I visited some relatives of mine. Since I moved abroad a couple of years ago, I don’t get to see them a lot. As per usual, we had our little life updates about what had happened since last time. If I remember correctly, this was the first time I’d been back since I started working as a photographer in the UK. Excited to show my work and talk about my progress, their reaction wasn’t as I’d hoped for. “Okay, so when are you coming home and getting an actual job?” was the response I got.

Every now and again, I come across people who think that photography as an industry is on its way out. People have smartphones with loads of megapixels to capture everything with, why would they need my expensive services? I understand why people have that view on it, but I’d like to share my opinion on the subject.

However, the truth is that with Instagram being updated with 60 million photos daily, many small businesses being created daily, making sure your branding is on point in every aspect is vital if you want to make a lasting impression on your future clients. Everyone has a phone with a camera, but would you let a fast food chain cater your wedding dinner?

Being a photographer is more than being the person pressing the button. It’s more than knowing the settings on a manual camera. It’s knowing people, and it’s knowing how to create beauty in memorable and outstanding photos. A professional photographer get to know you, your brand and your vision. We turn the image you have in your mind, into reality. We give you the finished photos you can use to reach your ideal client, that will speak directly to them because of our years of experience, planning, hard work and a passion for what we do.

My approach to branding photography is that I want you to feel like the photos we create, are what you dream about when you think about how you want your brand to look. I want you to fearlessly promote yourself and your business, because you are worthy of success.  Would you like to book your branding shoot?

Feel free to share this post on social media and write any opinions you have in the comments further down. Thank you for reading!
